G3 Grace Growth Groups
An introduction into the new small groups called Grace Growth Groups. A small group with a high impact on your life. Helping you grow Inward Outward and Upward
GRACE GROWTH GROUPS COMING IN 2012
We are excited to introduce our new small group program called simply, “G3”. G3 is short for Grace Growth Groups. Small groups have always been the strength of our church, and they offer great support in times of personal need, but participation has been down as of late so we began to look at the nuts and bolts of our care groups. We found several areas that we felt could be improved, and after much research, we have come up with our new G3 model. Care groups that are currently meeting may wish to continue, and that’s great, but if you aren’t in a care group, please consider a new G3 group.
A few of the key components of the G3 groups are:
1) Quarterly Commitments—rather than meeting September-May, the first G3 quarter will begin the week of January 22nd and only be 8 weeks in duration, followed by a two week break. People can change groups at that time if they so desire.
2) Facilitators rather than teachers – Discussion will be sermon based, so all in the group will have had opportunity to have heard the Biblical text read from the pulpit and the sermon based on that same text.
3) Questions will be provided in the bulletin each week to help the discussion get started, so no one has to “prepare a lesson.”
4) Groups will be geared toward “station in life” rather than geographical location.
5) Group size will be limited.
6) Meeting times will be determined by the facilitator and the host.
7) February 5th is the Super Bowl, and the Sunday night service will be cancelled so that our newly formed G3 groups can get together for their quarterly fellowship event that evening.
8) March 3rd is our Hands of Grace Bartlett Center outreach event, so that will be an opportunity for the newly formed G3 groups to serve together.
Please give one of the new G3 groups a try! Watch for sign-ups in the main lobby at church through January 15th.
