C. The beast is mortally wounded and healed.

1. One of the heads is mortally wounded. (not superficial).

2. The mortal wound is healed.

3. This is truly an Antichrist, who even imitates Jesus in His death and resurrection.

D. The beast is socially popular

1. The world will see this healing (resurrection) and follow him.

2. This healed wound will add tremendously to the Antichrist fame and power.

E. The beast wages war on the saints.

1. These are those who have come to Christ during the great tribulation.

III. The Warning (John’s?)

A. He who has ears let him hear.

1. A warning for all.

B. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity.

1. Those who work in cooperation with the beast and lead others into captivity, they shall certainly shall go into captivity.

C. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints:

1. Though viciously attacked by the Antichrist and his followers, the saints of God must keep steadfast faith in the Lord.
