Acts 3:1-12 | Signs of Life: Compassion

March 29, 2026

This week’s sermon centers on the transformative power of Christ-like compassion, drawing from Acts 3:1-12 and Matthew 9:36-38. We explore how Peter and John, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked beyond religious routine and allowed God’s compassion to move them to action—meeting not just the physical but the deepest spiritual needs of a man in need. Jesus’ own ministry was marked by compassion that stirred Him to heal, care, and call His followers to see people through His eyes. We are challenged to recognize divine appointments in our daily lives and to offer more than temporary relief—pointing others to the true healing only Jesus can give. As a church, we are invited to be vessels of God’s compassion, stepping beyond comfort and routine, to bring hope and restoration to those who are spiritually and physically hurting. Let us be moved by the compassion of Christ, looking for opportunities to bring His love and power into the lives of those around us.
