Mark 4:35-5:20 | Christ in our Crisis

June 7, 2026

In Christ in Our Crisis (Mark 4:35–5:20), we see Jesus reveal Himself as far more than a teacher or miracle worker—He is the sovereign Lord over storms, demons, and every circumstance of life. The disciples learned that faith is not the absence of trouble but trusting Christ in the middle of it. After calming the raging sea, Jesus crossed over to rescue a man trapped in spiritual bondage, demonstrating that no life is beyond His saving power. The message reminds us that God often leads us into deeper waters to strengthen our faith, but He never abandons us there. Whether facing fear, uncertainty, suffering, or spiritual battles, believers can rest in the confidence that the One who calmed the sea is still in the boat, still saving lives, and still sending His people to share His hope with others.
