When the Rubber Meets the Road: Part 2

Pastor Josh Blevins taught from Colossians 3:20–4:1, urging believers to let their faith shape their closest relationships. He emphasized that marriage, parenting, and work are all arenas for living out the gospel. In marriage, both spouses are called to personal obedience—husbands to love sacrificially and wives to support with grace. He warned against waiting for perfection in others before living out our own calling, reminding us that grace, forgiveness, and humility are key to thriving relationships.

To children, Pastor Josh taught that obedience honors God and shapes future character. He instructed parents—especially fathers—to discipline with love and not provoke discouragement, advocating a Christlike balance of boundaries and compassion. Addressing the workplace, he called for diligence, integrity, and God-awareness in both employees and employers, noting that our daily work is a reflection of our service to Christ.
