What does a church look like when the Holy Spirit is truly at work? It’s committed—deeply committed—to the things that matter most. When Peter proclaimed the gospel at Pentecost, something remarkable happened: three thousand people were convicted, repented, and asked the question that changed everything: “What must we do?” His answer was simple and transformative. Repent from your sin, respond through baptism as an act of identification with Christ, and receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. The early church didn’t just believe; they lived out their faith with radical generosity and genuine community. They devoted themselves to sound doctrine, shared their lives and possessions sacrificially, and prayed together constantly. They broke bread in homes, ate with gladness and simplicity, and their integrity was so evident that the world took notice. People didn’t see hypocrisy or self-righteousness—they saw authentic followers of Jesus, and they were drawn to it. The Lord added to the church daily because the foundation was solid: truth, relationship, and worship. This is the pattern for any healthy church today.
“Condemnation leads you away from God. Conviction leads you towards God.”
– Pastor Jonathon Medina
“While Christianity includes private experience, it is rooted in public and historical fact.”
“When the Spirit comes, the church finds its voice, the world takes notice, and the Word brings clarity. A living church is a witnessing church. Not because of its physical strength, but becasue of its spiritual life.”
– Pastor Josh Blevins
“Many Christians want power before they practice obedience. The order in Acts is the reverse. The Spirit fills those who first obey.”
– Pastor Josh Blevins
“While the Spirit-inspired scripture is a closed book, the Spirit-filled church is an ongoing story.”
– Pastor Josh Blevins
“God is not just our strength in eternity—He is our strength in the here and now.”
– Pastor Josh Blevins
“Your faith in God is not wishful thinking; it is grounded in truth.”
– Charlie Campbell
“Jesus is still saving the least likely people—and using them to reach everyone else.”
– Pastor Jerel Hagerman
