Acts 6 shows that even a Spirit-filled, growing church can face real pressure from within. As the early church multiplied, a complaint arose because Hellenistic widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution. What could have become cultural division became an opportunity for godly leadership, Spirit-filled wisdom, and deeper unity. The apostles did not ignore the problem, feed the murmuring, or abandon their calling to prayer and the ministry of the Word. Instead, they led the church to appoint qualified servants who could care for the need while the mission continued. This passage reminds us that church health is not measured by the absence of problems, but by how problems are handled in humility, truth, wisdom, and love. Christ strengthens His church through leaders and servants who recognize danger, respond faithfully, share the burden of ministry, and keep the gospel central. When the body works together under the Spirit’s direction, the Word spreads and disciples multiply.
