What We Value.

Awakening people to the truth, love, and power of God.
Anchored in Jesus.

Jesus is the way to a wandering world, the truth in a maze of deception, and the life in a place where death reigns. We exist so that our communities, local and abroad,  can experience the life-changing gospel of Jesus and God’s transforming power.

Built on God’s Word.

We exist to be a voice of truth as we teach and live out God’s Word in a culture that is steeped in deception. God’s Word is truth, and we will always hold the Bible as our final authority on all things relating to God, people, and life.

Empowered by the Spirit.

We exist to see a movement of biblically grounded, Spirit-empowered people spread throughout the midwest and beyond. Because the Spirit enables us, we are not spectators, but active participants in God’s kingdom plans.

Rooted in love.

We exist to be a pipeline of gospel-centered provision and generosity to those in need of God’s love. We believe the Love of God transforms us to see and care for others as God does.

What We Believe.

Grace is orthodox in its beliefs and evangelical in its emphasis. We seek to proclaim the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and establish people in God’s Word. In keeping with this statement, we hold to the following biblical truths:

Grace Church is a Calvary Chapel Fellowship.

God

We believe in one God as three persons: the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit as co-existent, co-eternal and unified in will. (Gen. 1:26, Jn. 1:1-5, 14:9, 11, 15-17, Mt. 28:19)

The Bible

We believe in the Divine inspiration, reliability and authority of the Holy Scriptures, as found in the Old and New Testaments, as the foundation and rule for Christian faith, doctrine and conduct. (Dt. 29:29, Is. 55:10-11, II Tim. 3:16-17, II Pet. 1:20-21)

Mankind

We believe all men and women are sinners, in their unrepentant state destined for Hell and in need of faith in the Savior Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin and eternal life. (Rm. 3:23, 5:8, I Jn. 1:10, Gal. 1:3-5, Rm. 6:23, Lk. 16:19-31, Rv. 20:11-15, Acts 24:15, I Co. 15:3-5)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Virgin Birth, crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; who died for the sins of humankind and purchased for us eternal life in Heaven. (Is. 7:14, Mt. 1:22-23, Acts 4:12, I Cor. 1:18, 23, II Cor. 5:21, Col. 2:13-15, I Pet. 3:21-22, Rm. 6:23, I Tim. 2:1)

Salvation

We believe that all individuals must repent of sin and receive Jesus Christ by faith to be saved. (Jn. 1:12, 3:16, Acts 2:38, 3:19-20, 16:31, 26:20, Rm. 10:9-10)

Christian Living

a Christian can be sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit in which a person's heart is cleansed of the sin nature and empowered to live a holy, victorious and abundant life in Christ. This experience is subsequent to being born again (Mt. 3:11-12, Acts 1:4-5, 8, 2:4, I Th. 5:23).

The Holy Spirit

the Spirit-filled life produces in the believer, the Fruit of the Spirit (the character of Christ) and Spiritual Gifts for Christian service, ministry and edification of the Church (Rm. 6:11-18, 8:4-8, Gal. 5:16-25, II Pet. 1:3-7, Rm. 12:1-8, I Cor. 12:1, 27-30, 14:1-4, 37-40, I Pet. 4:10-11).

Christ’s Return

We believe that the Lord Jesus will return, the dead will be raised and the final judgment will take place, with believers entering into eternal life in Heaven and unbelievers entering into eternal Hell (Mt. 24:30-31, 36, I Th. 4:13-18, I Co. 15:50-58, Mt. 25:45-46, Ac. 24:15, Rev. 20:11-15).
