The Gospel of Luke
The gospel of Luke was written for a Gentile audience. In that day Gentiles would often have been those of little status or influence living in areas that we might call fly over country. People like us. Luke shows Jesus ministering to those who were on the fringes of society – women, children, tax collectors, and lepers. Luke alone gives us the most complete story of the birth of Jesus that we have. He alone shows Jesus at age 12 at the temple. He alone gives us the parable of the good Samaritan, the prodigal son, and the rich man and Lazarus, along with several others. Join us as we dive into this marvelous book examining it in a verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter format.
