This week’s sermon launches our study in the book of Acts by inviting us to consider what it truly means to be alive in Christ. While many people, even within the church, appear spiritually alive on the outside, Jesus desires a deeper, more authentic life that comes only through Him. The early church, despite its imperfections, was marked by this supernatural life—empowered by the Holy Spirit, demonstrating real transformation and undeniable power. Luke, the author of Acts, provides a historically reliable and purposeful account to show that Jesus is still alive and working through His people today. As we explore Acts, we’re challenged to move beyond mere appearances, allowing God’s Spirit to revive our hearts and empower our witness. Let’s seek genuine spiritual life—refusing to be “wax statue” Christians—so the world may see Christ truly alive in us. Join us on this journey as we pray for revival and embrace God’s calling for our church in these days.
