“When we allow faith to overcome our cynicism and doubt, we make room for God to birth new things in our lives.”
Hebrews 11:11-16
“There are many people who believe in God, but they don’t believe God. They are not convinced that if they give themselves entirely to God, God will give Himself entirely to them.”
Hebrews 11:5-12
“Faith is not a tool to get what we want from God. Faith is the evidence of what God has already secured for us, even if we can’t see it.”
Hebrews11:1-6
“The only way to escape eternal judgment and inherit eternal life is to receive the eternal sacrifice that Jesus made once for all.”
God is able to be all these things perfectly in that he is the definition of all these things. When God acts out of the capacity of His nature and who He is, we as the created, don’t have the right to look at the creator and accuse him of injustice based on our standards.
“Ruth” is one of two biblical books named after a woman. The other is Esther. The book of Esther is the story of a Hebrew woman living in a Gentile land, while Ruth is the story of a Gentile woman living in the land of the Hebrews.
To reject the sacrifice of Christ is to reject any hope of rescue from judgment and forgiveness of sin. No other sacrifice can suffice, and neglect of Christ’s salvation only leaves one in the place of unavoidable judgment. Continuing in Jesus, and Jesus alone by faith is the sole path to eternal salvation.
“On every single page of Scripture, buried in every ritual, and seen in every sacrifice slaughtered, there is a prophetic portrait of the person and work of Jesus.”
What made that moment unique of course, is that I met someone who I couldn’t see, who died, and yet was somehow tangibly present in that room, in my heart, and in my mind. Since that moment, I have experienced this same Jesus speaking to me, guiding me, providing for me, healing me, leading me, comforting me, and changing me from the inside out.
