Discipleship
- (Commitment level: Six weekly session for one to one and-a-half hour)
Throughout the year there are many new believers who express the desire for discipleship, foundational support, and Biblical tools through personal meetings and frequent contact so they can grow in the Word and in relationship with God. By joining this Team, members will have opportunity to walk through the Bible and discipleship materials with others over a 6-week period.
Hands of Grace
- (Commitment level: Meetings are once per month)
Grace Church for years has strived to be part of the community by being involved with and helping organizations who help others that are in great need. Hands of Grace meets monthly to discuss ways they can help the St Joseph community. If you are looking for opportunities to take “Church outside the four walls,” then this is the Team for you.
Student/ Nursery
(Commitment level: Once a month or every other month)

Our goal at Grace is to provide a safe and nurturing nursery for children up to the age of four to allow parents to partake in the Sunday service worry-free. To achieve this we can use several volunteers to supplement our staff. Typically volunteers serve once every four to eight weeks during a second service, and will always be partnered with at minimum one nursery worker. This is a great opportunity to be a blessing to young families looking to connect with the body of Christ.
Student/ Children

Team Leaders and Teachers meet with children during assigned service rotation times. Help assist kids to engage within scheduled programming. Team Lead Teachers are given the opportunity to facilitate instructional time as designated within an assigned curriculum: to include but not limited to storytelling, crafts, games, prayer, and other ministry related activities. Both Team Leaders and Teachers provide general supervision during large and small group times, assist with children / parent registration, check in and pick up procedures. It’s expected that volunteers serve from 15 minutes prior to 15 minutes after service.
Student/ Youth

Grace Youth Ministry (YTH) exists to connect with students, to disciple them in the truth of God’s Word so that they may know God, ultimately to be deployed into the culture to win others to Christ, fulfilling The Great Commission. Youth Servant-Leaders are needed to model a pursuit of personal holiness and reliability, alongside the commitment of serving at least one YTH service a week, attending Youth events to the best of their ability & committing to serving in the ministry without an end in mind.
Renewal
- (Commitment level: weekly or monthly)
The Renewal ministry helps college-aged students get connected through our weekly bible study services, Small Groups, outreach opportunities, retreats, and conferences. Volunteers are needed to help with setting up for meetings, welcoming guests, and providing meaningful and biblical conversations with attenders.
Growth Group Hosts/Facilitators
- (Commitment level: weekly for one quarter)
As our church grows, we need Godly people to facilitate or host Grace Growth Groups. If you have a home you are willing use to host a group for a session or two, or if you have the ability to lead people through bible study questions, please sign up today.
Cancer Care
- (Commitment level: weekly / semi-weekly)
This is a new ministry that addresses a not-so-new need. Sadly, many in our community are dealing with cancer, including those from our church, and need additional support, prayers and encouragement beyond their family. Good News Club
- (Commitment level: One day a week during school year)

Club Leaders and Facilitators meet with children during assigned club meetings and help assist kids to engage within scheduled programming. Club Leaders are given the opportunity to provide instructional time as designated within an assigned curriculum through Child Evangelism Fellowship which includes but is not limited to storytelling, crafts, games, prayer, and other ministry related activities. Both Club Leaders and Facilitators provide general supervision during large and small group times, assist with child check-in and pick up procedures.
CarePortal
- (Commitment level: Varies as needs arise)
Across Northwest Missouri, and around the nation, there is a hidden crisis of children experiencing maltreatment. Many homes lack necessities such as bedding, mattresses, bed frames, dressers, car seats, clothing, etc. CarePortal serves as a network to alert the CarePortal community about these needs and to provide opportunity for partners to take meaningful action to gather resources, either by crowdsourcing or thrifting, and present it to the homes in need. Please consider joining the CarePortal community or indicate your desire for more information by filling out and turning in a volunteer form.
