Over the past two weeks, we’ve examined Titus chapter 1, highlighting the need for spiritually mature leaders to guide the church and counter false teachings. These leaders must embody sound doctrine, integrating belief with practice to prevent misleading teachings about Jewish laws from leading believers astray. Titus 2 outlines specific teachings for different groups within the church: older men are to be sober, reverent, and exemplify mature faith; older women should model dignity, avoid gossip, and mentor younger women; younger women are called to love their families, practice wisdom, and manage their homes, while younger men are encouraged to be sober-minded, exemplify good works, and maintain integrity. Each group’s conduct is vital for reflecting and advancing the gospel through both belief and action.
